Bring your lunch and join us for an exclusive and engaging  lunch and learn. A look at the power of Frederick Douglass’s thoughts, news and oratory on his political friendships in Indiana. Beginning with his interactions with  Governor Oliver P. Morton in the Civil War and culminating with his friendship with Benjamin Harrison in 1888, when he campaigned to elect him president. Harrison subsequently appointed Douglass to a diplomatic post.
